| Penerangan CU | Pre-press maintenance system control is the competency which provides method and technique in implementing maintenance system control, in order to improve machine performance and maintain mechanical printing production availability as per operation requirement. Pre-press is the term used in the printing and publishing industries for the processes and procedures that occur between the creation of a print layout and the plates. The pre-press procedure includes the process of images and texts development transform onto ready printing plate. The person who is competent in pre-press maintenance system control shall be able organise mechanical pre-press maintenance activities safely, system control maintenance, machine thru-put and maintenance troubleshooting solution according to machine manual and company’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The outcome of this competency is to achieve successful process of maintenance control system with work listed in maintenance plan as required in printing industry. It’s also to ensure of work effectively and safe area in accordance with Local Authority Agencies regulation (quality timely and efficiency) |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in Pre-press machine maintenance system control shall be able to plan its equipment for servicing and testing to ensure its equipment capabilities of machine operation in accordance with printing organization policy and regulation. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Plan mechanical printing machine maintenance requirements • Maintain mechanical printing machine maintenance serviceability • Perform mechanical printing machine maintenance settings verification • Perform mechanical printing machine auxiliary setting verification • Produce mechanical printing machine maintenance report |
