| Penerangan CU | "Anchor handling is a process in which anchor is either deployed on to sea bed or recovered by using system as per end user requirement. The person who is competent in anchor handling will be able to identify and prepare the requirements for specific anchor handling job ranging from the safety aspects, processes in use, tools and equipment before deploying and/or retrieving anchor with specified system and clear the deck after the processes in accordance with safe working practices. The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure that anchor is deployed and recovered in a safely manner in accordance with end user requirement and in accordance with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)." |

In particular the trainees will be able to: 1. Recognize anchor handling operation requirements 2. Prepare for anchor handling operation 3. Execute wire connection during deployment and retrieval of anchor 4. Execute wire connection during deployment and retrieval of spring buoy 5. Clear the deck after work completion |
