Penerangan CU | Instrumentation Calibration is the primary processes used to maintain instrument accuracy and reliability according to instrument calibration procedures and client requirements. The calibration is the process of configuring and adjustment, resetting of an instrument to provide a result for a sample within an acceptable range and tolerances. Eliminating or minimizing the factors that cause inaccurate measurements and error is the fundamental aspect of instrumentation design. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare calibration tools and equipment, perform calibration works and produce calibration reports in accordance with calibration procedures and client requirements. The outcome of this competency is to maintain instrument accuracy parameter and performance within the specified range and tolerances. |

Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to calibrate electrical equipment based on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Ship Classification Society Rules and Regulation. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- Identify instrument calibration requirement. Prepare calibration tools, equipment and material. Carry out instrument equipment calibration. |
