| Penerangan CU | Playground Design Safety Evaluation describes the competencies required to assess playground design safety compliance as per safety standard specifications. This evaluation is performed prior to playground installation to anticipate problems and highlight possible non-compliance relating to selection and placement of equipment, surfacing and other safety compliance issues. A competent person in this CU shall be able to determine playground design safety evaluation requirements, evaluate playground design plan, propose improvement in design plan and prepare design safety evaluation reports. The outcome of this competency is the creation of playground design plan that complies with MS 966, MS standard relating to surfacing and impact attenuation as well as best practices on safe creative play. Design safety evaluation prior to installation will reduce post installation non-compliance and costly mistakes. It is cheaper to make amendments on design plans than it would be to amend problems identified during post installation inspection. |
