| Penerangan CU | Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engine Maintenance describes the competency in engine maintenance services of motorised GSE. Engines components /parts to be maintained/rectified and tested such as engine condition and it’s functionality, engine oil level and condition, coolant level of cooling system and fuel system primary filter/ water separator. Example of motorised GSE are water truck, water cart, passenger step, pallet transporter, main deck loader, lower deck loader and towing tractor. A competent person in this CU shall be able to prepare engine maintenance requirements, conduct engine daily inspection / serviceability check, perform engine scheduled maintenance, carry out defective engine trouble shooting, perform defective engine rectification and perform work area housekeeping according to maintenance manual and procedure. The outcome of this competency is to maintain the engine of related GSE so that engine are in serviceable condition (no excessive vibration, knocking or clanking noises) and safe for Aircraft and Ground Support Handling activities at Airport in accordance with regulatory and authority requirements, ICAO Annex 17/19. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to maintain the engine of related GSE so that engine are in serviceable condition (no excessive vibration, knocking or clanking noises) and safe for users in Aircraft and Ground Support Handling activities at Airport in accordance with regulatory and authority requirements, ICAO Annex 17/19. Upon completion of this competency units, trainees will be able to:- 1. Prepare engine maintenance requirements, 2. Conduct engine daily inspection / serviceability check, 3. Perform engine scheduled maintenance, 4. Carry out defective engine trouble shooting, 5. Perform defective engine rectification 6. Perform work area housekeeping |
