| Penerangan CU | Cargo Vessel Lashing Operation handling operation describes the competency in carry out lashing works in unloading/loading of cargoes of various types. Lashing man should know the selection and types of lashing material suitable for different type of cargo to be used in the handling, shipment, storage and loading or unloading of cargo in vessels. They are great difficulty and problems to stevedores during loading/unloadings in the securing and lashing of containers on ship’s decks in terms of hard weather and work environment and safety. The personnel who aspires to be competent in this competency must in prior have the following competencies in preparing participate in tool box discussion, to receive instruction from foreman, prepare tools and equipment, execute lashing/unlashing activity to be commensurate with various types of cargo and shall be able to produce report in accordance to SOP and port authority requirement. To perform the CU, the competency personnel is required to have a, knowledge and skills in lashing works in handling various types of cargo in port operation and physical fit to perform works. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that stevedores equipped with knowledge and skills to carry out lashing/unlashing operation handling using designated tools and equipment. |
