A competent person in this CU shall be able to perform engine room Watchkeeping operation preparation, carry out lubricating oil system checking, carry out fresh water system checking, carry out sea water system checking, carry out starting air system checking, carry out propulsion system checking, carry out steering system checking, carry out air-conditioning system checking, carry out fuel oil system checking, carry out sewage treatment system checking and report ship engine room Watchkeeping status. The outcome of this competency is to update the current operational status of the ship engine room in accordance with company’s SOP and manuals. |
