| Penerangan CU | Quality control refers to the control of production process using a planned and systematic sequence of actions which provide the confidence that all work carried out will meet and satisfy the project and structural specifications. QC identifies any unacceptable work after completion of work. This CU covers in-process QC which is conducted before the actual audit by the QA/QC personnel. The objective is to confirm that all work is produced in compliance with the project scope of work as well as to identify non-compliance for rectification. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to review structure fabrication QC requirements, conduct in-process QC, liaise with QA/QC personnel and client on inspection work and provide information for the preparation of QA/QC reports. The outcome of this CU is the development of competencies for conducting in-process QC in accordance with ITP to ensure that structure fabrication work adheres with project and structure fabrication specifications in the oil and gas industry. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform in-process QC as well as liaise with QA/QC and client pertaining to inspection and testing in accordance with Inspection Test Plan and project specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- Review structure fabrication QC requirements Conduct in-process QC Liaise with QA/QC on inspection work Liaise with client on inspection work as per ITP Provide information for preparation of QA/QC reports |
