| Penerangan CU | Sludge Dewatering System maintenance describes the competency of to ensure one of most important component in the water treatment facility in good condition and operating smoothly. He/She is responsible for a well-planned preventive maintenance measures to minimise cost and component breakdowns that can result in wider system failure, or non-compliance. Physical inspections conducted at scheduled intervals can detect problem/ early sign of breakdown or damage such as cracked wires, broken concrete and discoloured or brittle pipes. The person who is competent in this cu shall be able to identify Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work requirements, prepare Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work requirements, perform Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work, inspect Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work and carry out Sludge Dewatering System routine up-keeping activities. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that the preventive and correction action is carried out in an appropriate manner and that all the equipment, system and methodology used is in compliance with the pre-defined standards. To perform the CU, the competency owner is required to have relevant technical expertise such as technical and operations experience, good IT and analytical skills and comply with all the safety guidelines and regulations at all times. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform the maintenance work in Sludge Dewatering & Disposal facility maintenance and to ensure it is in good condition and made ready for operation as per Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory guidelines. Upon completion of this competency units, trainees will be able to:- 1. Identify Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance requirements 2. Prepare Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work requirements 3. Perform Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work 4. Inspect Sludge Dewatering System routine maintenance work 5. Carry out Sludge Dewatering & Disposal routine up-keeping activities. |
