| Penerangan CU | Production is a process that encompasses the activities of procurement, allocation and utilisation of resources (including human resource) whereby raw materials are converted into semi-finished or finished products. In structure fabrication, production cycle starts from the fabrication work till erection and handover of the completed structure. The main objective of structure fabrication production management is to deliver the fabricated structures demanded by the client in the most efficient and economical way. The person who is competent is this CU shall be able to identify structure fabrication production requirements, manage production team, fabrication and assembly work, control production cost, manage change and additional orders, provide advice on progress payment, participate in project handover and prepare management and close-out reports. The outcome of this CU is the development of management competencies required for efficient execution of the structure fabrication process in accordance with project and client specifications. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to manage structure fabrication production in accordance with structure and project specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- Identify structure fabrication project requirements Manage production team Verify structure fabrication and erection work Control production cost Manage change and additional orders Provide advice on progress payment Interphase with related departments Manage project hand-over arrangements in collaboration with overall project team Prepare structure fabrication management and close-out reports |
