| Penerangan CU | Induction Furnace is electrical furnace in which the heat is applied by induction heating of metal. Induction furnace capacities range from less than one kilogram to one hundred tonnes capacity and are used to melt iron and steel, copper, aluminium and precious metals. Steel Making via Induction Furnace describes the competency in operating electrical furnace to produce raw molten steel according to Standard Operating Procedure and work instruction. A competent person in this CU shall be able to check induction furnace operation readiness, prepare steel making materials for melting in Induction Furnace, perform melting process, adjust molten steel temperature, pour molten steel into mould, and record melting process activities (heat log). The outcome of this competency is the ability to handle and use induction furnace to produce raw molten steel in compliance with SOP, work instructions and regulatory body requirements. |
