| Penerangan CU | Steel Hot Rolling Operation is the metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through one or more pass or rolls to reduce the dimensions and to make the dimensions uniform. This competency unit describes the skills in operating hot rolling process according to Standard Operating Procedure and work instructions. A competent person in this CU shall be able to identify hot rolling operation requirements, identify correct roll stand and roll pass, carry out roll stand and fast block installation, carry out roll guide alignment, conduct test run for new pass, initiate hot rolling process, check bar stock specification at selected roll stand, record hot rolling process activities, and carry out production maintenance works. The outcome of this competency is the ability to operate hot rolling machine in accordance with product specifications, Standard Operating Procedure and customer requirements |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this competency unit is the ability to operate hot rolling machine in accordance with product specifications, Standard Operating Procedure and customer requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees shall be able to: 1. Identify hot rolling operation requirements. 2. Identify correct roll stand and roll pass. 3. Carry out roll stand and fast block installation. 4. Carry out roll guide alignment. 5. Conduct test run for new passes. 6. Initiate hot rolling process. 7.
