| Penerangan CU | Atmospheric Testing Operation describes the competency to ensure the atmospheric testing operations can be carried out in compliance with Safety, Health and Environment requirements. Atmospheric Testing Operations is required to evaluate the hazards of the permit space and for verification that acceptable entry conditions for entry into that space exist. Similarly, where ‘hot work’ is to be undertaken which is adjacent to live plant gas testing shall be undertaken to evaluate the risk of hydrocarbon or toxic gas. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to operate gas detector, prepare personal respiratory protective device, carry out gas test, interpret gas mapping, interpret gas reading and complete permit and certificate. The outcome of this competency is to avoid incidents or accidents that might result from abnormal operating conditions and reduce adverse effects that result from normal operating conditions |
