| Penerangan CU | The wheel is the most crucial element of the bicycle: it allows the rider to roll over the ground with great speed and efficiency. The reasons to replace all spokes in a bicycle wheel, called building a wheel, or lacing, is due to replacement of a rim, hub, or the spokes. Bicycle Wheel Building and Repair is a competency in performing building, repair and restoration of bicycle wheel. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare bicycle wheel building and repair parts, tool and equipment, prepare bicycle spoke, carry out wheel building process, carry out wheel truing process, carry out final wheel inspection and carry out work area housekeeping. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that bicycle wheel is well trued, fixed and built in accordance with manufacturer’s specification, customer’s riding requirements, and company standard operating procedure. |
