| Penerangan CU | Sewing Quality Inspection describes the competencies required to inspect sewing process and to detect defect/ defectives occurred during the sewing process. The common defects related to sewing quality are stitching, thread run in ratio, evenness, balance and correct bight, seams finishing, correct labelling and measurement/dimension of attached apparel. The objective is to ensure cut pieces are attached and sewn well as per specification and met quality standard requirements. The person who is competent in this competency unit (CU) shall be able to comprehend sewing process inspection procedure, machine setting/parameters, type of defects, root cause of defects, quality standards requirements, Standard Operating Procedure and company policies. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare documents and tools for sewing process inspections, check sewing operation setting, monitor in-line apparel defect/defective, carry out product safety inspection, monitor apparel quality for “garment wash” and perform pre/internal audit on finished product. The outcome of this competency is to ensure apparels are sewn and all quality aspects complied according to buyer approved sample, apparel specification and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). |
