| Penerangan CU | Apparel Pre-Production Sample Inspection describes the competencies required to inspect sewn apparel for pre-production purposes and to detect defect/ defectives occurred during the development process. The common defects related to quality are raw materials (fabric & incoming trims), paper pattern, cut panel/pieces, embellishment (if applicable), sewing process (machine setting), appearance of completed apparel The objective is to ensure pre-production sample are produced as per specification and met quality standard requirements. The person who is competent in this competency unit (CU) shall be able to comprehend sewing process inspection procedure, press/iron setting/parameters, type of defects, and root cause of defects, quality standards requirements, and Standard Operating Procedure and company policies. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare documents and tools for apparel pre-production inspections, participate quality briefing of Pre-Production (PPR), carry out raw materials inspection of pre-production sample, check quality on cut panel of pre-production sample and check sewing process quality of pre-production sample. The outcome of this competency is to ensure finished/ completed apparel sample during pilot run are sewn and all quality aspects complied according to buyer approved sample, apparel specification and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). |
