| Penerangan CU | Plastics injection mould maintenance includes both preventive and corrective maintenance. Plastics injection mould is maintained to avoid more costly mould repair and to prolong the mould life. Preventive maintenance is performed as recommended by the manufacturer and agreeable preventive maintenance frequency. It is normally performed when a mould has completed its running or after a certain number of cycles performed. Plastics injection mould moving components must be serviced to prevent wear and tear. The mould will be repaired if any problems detected in the plastics injection mould. All repairs or modifications made to a mould are documented to allow traceability. The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to prepare plastics injection mould maintenance works schedule, coordinate plastics injection mould preventive and corrective maintenance works. The outcome of this competency is to implement plastics injection mould maintenance activities to avoid costly mould repair and production shutdown. |
