| Penerangan CU | Intrusion Prevention describes the competency required to be able to build protection mechanisms for IT systems and services in an organisation to ensure attacks and security breaches are prevented so as to protect the environment. The skills gained support activities surrounding systems and services including securing environments and validating security mechanisms. He or She is the person to carry out intrusion prevention on identified services and systems using suitable tools and methodologies. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to implement organisation defence strategies against ongoing threats & vulnerabilities, implement firewalls, and implement intrusion prevention systems (IPS). The outcome of this competency is to ensure intrusion prevention activities are carried out completely in accordance with organisational requirements and standard operating procedures. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this competency is to ensure intrusion prevention activities are carried out completely in accordance with organisational requirements and standard operating procedures. Personnel will be able to apply both technical techniques and industry best practices to carry out intrusion prevention on identified services and systems using suitable tools and methodologies.
