Penerangan CU | Halal Poultry Pre-Slaughtering Preparation describes the competency in identifying dead poultry on arrival, determining poultry bulk weighing, assisting meat inspector in poultry physical examination, validating poultry physical condition and removing of non-conformance poultry carcass from slaughtering sequence. A competent person in this CU shall be able to handle poultry receiving, handle poultry weighing, prepare poultry ante-mortem inspection, handle poultry shackling and handle poultry water bath stunning. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the poultry is handled in accordance with Animal Practice Act; and procedure of stunning is conducted in accordance with latest Malaysian Halal Standard 1500, Malaysian Protocol of Meat and Poultry. To perform the CU, the competency owner is required to understand the process of poultry pre-slaughtering operation |

Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to handle poultry receiving, weighing, shackling and stunning in compliance with latest Malaysian Halal Standard 1500, Animal Welfare Act and Poultry Productions requirements.
