| Penerangan CU | Apparel prototype making describes the competency in making complete apparel at the very initial stage of the apparel production. Order is confirmed by buyer to the apparel manufacturing company based on the prototype, or commonly known as “Proto” sample. Prototype is developed for 3-4 pieces and generally sewn by one sample maker. The Prototype will go through several changes before it will be approved. This approved Prototype will be a reference to the processes afterwards. A competent person in this CU shall be able to determine prototype sewing requirements, prepare tools and materials, check prototype cut piece with embellishment, attach accessories onto prototype cut piece, perform sewing machine set up, sew prototype apparel ,perform prototype rework and record prototype sewing activities. The outcome of this competency is to sew apparel according to basic size measurements, specified stitch quality and detailed prototype in accordance with buyer’s requirements, end look and style. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to sew apparel according to various size, measurements and specified stitch quality and detailed prototype in accordance with buyer’s requirements, end look and style. Upon completion of this competency units, trainees will be able to:- 1. Determine prototype sewing requirements 2. Prepare tools and materials 3. Check prototype cut piece with embellishment 4. Attach sewing accessories onto prototype cut piece 5. Perform sewing machine set up 6. Sew prototype apparel 7. Perform prototype rework 8. Record prototype sewing activities |
