| Penerangan CU | Biohazard & medical waste storage describes the competency in transferring biohazard & medical waste from storage to treatment and disposal plant according to collection schedule. A storage location for biohazard waste should be designated inside the health-care establishment or research facility. The waste, in bags or containers, should be stored in a separate area, room, or building of a size appropriate to the quantities of waste produced and the frequency of collection. A competent person in this CU shall be able to identify biohazard & medical waste transportation requirement, weigh transportation wheel bin, prepare waste Consignment Note (CN), load transportation wheel bin into transport vehicle and update daily record sheet. The outcome of this competency is the successful transfer of biohazard & medical waste to storage area in a safe manner thus reducing the hazard risk to human health in accordance with Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005 |
