| Penerangan CU | Highway Traffic Diversion coordination describes the competency in supervising patrolman team in intervening traffic flow to the lowest impact possible by closing any part of highway for any purpose specified by the management while maintaining safe and acceptable highway user convenience using allocated resources. This competency unit is important to ensure that the highway maintenance, construction, obstacles removal and or other required activities could be completed without closing the entire highway. A competent person in this competency unit shall be able to supervise lane closure exercise, perform contra flow preparation coordination, perform contra flow preparation inspection, perform contra flow facilities monitoring supervision and prepare traffic diversion report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that all necessary activities for the benefits of highway safety and management could be done safely and timely at the minimal impact to the currently running traffic of the highway in accordance with organizational requirement. In performing highway traffic diversion coordination, the incumbent must possess a valid car driving licence and motorcycle licence due to the nature of this activity that utilizes vehicle in completing the task. |
