| Penerangan CU | After Ayurvedic oil application is done for a period of 5 - 10 minutes, udwartanam is done by massaging the whole body with herbal powders in a prescribed manner for a period of time. This treatment/ procedure is used as a preparatory treatment for panchakarma or as a treatment by itself. This treatment/ procedure is commonly available in Ayurvedic treatment centres and Ayurvedic hospitals Ayurvedic udwartanam treatment can be performed on clients who have gone through Ayurvedic oil application or as directed by the Ayurvedic physician, and following guidelines setup by the Malaysia Ministry of Health. The practice of Ayurvedic udwartanam treatments is permitted to be performed by certified Ayurvedic panchakarma therapists under the direct supervision of an Ayurvedic physician |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in Udwarthanam (Herbal Powder Massage) Treatments shall be able to do treatment/ procedure as a preparatory treatment for panchakarma or as a treatment by itself. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- 1. Confirm advise and instruction for udwartanam treatments from the Ayurvedic physician 2. Prepare herbal mixture for udwartanam treatments 3. Organise udwartanam treatment facilities in the treatment room 4. Prepare client for udwartanam treatment 5. Carry out udwartanam treatment procedure 6. Carry out after care of the client |
