| Penerangan CU | Textile Acid Dyeing describes the competencies required to perform dyeing on polyamide. A polyamide is a polymer in which the monomers are linked together by amide bonds. Naturally occurring polyamides include wool and silk while nylon is the most common manufactured polyamide. Different dye classes such as acid dyes, metal complex dye and disperse dyes can be used for dyeing polyamides. As with the other types of dyeing, it is important to operate the dyeing machines at the required process parameters to ensure quality dyeing. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare polyamide dyeing requirements, perform polyamide dyeing and after-treatment processes, and complete polyamide dyeing operation. The outcome of this competency is the production of quality dyed fabric in compliance with clients’ requirements |

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- 1. Prepare acid dyeing auxiliary and dyestuff 2. Perform acid dyeing 3. Perform dyed fabric after treatment 4. Complete textile acid dyeing operation |
