| Penerangan CU | Textile Cationic Dyeing describes the competencies required to perform dyeing using cationic dyestuff. Cationic dyestuff (also known as basic dyes) is a group of water soluble dyes with bright colours that are applied to substrate with anionic charges where electrostatic attractions are formed. Cationic dyestuffs are mainly used in the dyeing of polypropylene fabrics, modified polyester and polyacrylics fibers. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare cationic dyeing requirements, perform cationic dyeing and after-treatment processes, and complete cationic dyeing operation. The outcome of this competency is the production of quality dyed fabric in compliance with clients’ requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform cationic dyeing on polypropylene fabrics, modified polyester and polyacrylics fibers to produce quality dyed fabric in compliance with clients’ requirements. . Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- 1. Prepare textile cationic dyeing auxiliary and dyestuff 2. Perform textile cationic dyeing 3. Perform dyed fabric after treatment 4. Complete textile cationic dyeing operation |
