| Penerangan CU | Masonry Wall Cladding Installation refers to the construction of bricks, lightweight concrete, stone and concrete-type of products which forms a layer fitted to the substrate wall using suitable fixtures (clips, shelf angles, brackets or mechanical type) or mortar mix to provide aesthetic values, reduce cost of construction. This CU is important because by understanding the masonry wall cladding types, safe work environment, the right installation method, the masonry wall cladding will be carried out correctly and effectively. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare masonry wall cladding installation work, carry out site marking, install masonry wall cladding bracket or lug, carry out stone wall cladding, carry out pre-cast concrete wall cladding, carry out glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) wall cladding and check masonry wall cladding installation. The person must possess CIDB Construction Personnel Card to perform the competency unit on site. The outcome of this competency is masonry wall cladding are correctly installed and with accordance to safety requirements and able to perform checking upon completion of installation on its finishing, clearing of debris and report on defects, if any. |
