| Penerangan CU | Metal Cladding Installation describe the knowledge and skill in installing roof and wall metal cladding system that includes gutter. Metal cladding is a type metal profile sheets can be used as a form of external cladding, and are commonly used for all type of buildings. Sheets are manufactured in a range of corrugated and other profiles, such as trapezoidal, sinusoidal or half-round. The steel sheet is generally coated with a zinc or zinc aluminium alloy and/or other metal powder or foil is bonded to a substrate by applying heat and/or pressure. Metal cladding can be installed vertically, horizontally or diagonally, and are capable of being applied to curved facades and other complex shapes. Metal cladding systems provide an efficient, attractive and reliable solution to the building envelope needs. However, as with all construction components, the ability of the building envelope to satisfy its functional requirements is dependent on its correct specification and installation and, equally as important, on its interaction with the other elements of the building envelope and structure. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare metal wall cladding installation work, carry out metal wall cladding site marking, install metal wall cladding bracket, carry out metal wall cladding, carry out metal roof cladding site marking, install metal roof cladding bracket, carry out rain water gutter, carry out metal roof cladding and check metal cladding installation. The person must possess CIDB Construction Personnel Card to perform the competency unit on site. The outcome of this competency is accurate and safe installation of metal cladding according to method statement. |
