| Penerangan CU | Cargo Transportation Management is a process of ensuring that all cargoes, (which include deck cargo, under deck cargo, tanks, boxes, dangerous goods and heavy lifts) are loaded, secured, discharged and transferred to respective discharging locations as per cargo manifest and Charterer’s delivery instructions. The person who is competent in cargo handling operations, sailing and manoeuvring activities will be able to monitor the entire cargo transfer processes - from cargo planning/loading/ securing, verifying the validity of certificates for all lifting equipment/appliances, verifying the validity of vessel’s valid trading documents/certificates and verifying the characteristics/ nature of cargoes that may require special care/attention, special stowage and segregation requirements and special handling/lifting requirements. The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure that cargo operation and transportation is conducted in a safely manner in accordance to cargo manifest and charterer’s delivery instruction |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this competency unit is to ensure that the cargo operations on board of the vessel which includes scheduled and unscheduled run and backloading is managed effectively and in a safely manner. In particular the trainees will be able to: 1. Verify required cargo operation/ transportation documentation. 2. Manage scheduled run and cargo operations. 3. Manage inter rig / platform – backloading of cargoes. |
