| Penerangan CU | Lathe Machine Operation describes the activity of operating a conventional lathe machine. Lathe machine is a machine tool that rotates a workpiece about an axis of rotation to perform various machining operation. This operation includes but not limited to cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, facing and turning which is then applied to the workpiece to create an object with symmetry about that axis. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to perform lathe machine daily maintenance, interpret production technical drawing, prepare lathe machine cutting tools and tool holder, set up lathe machine workpiece, perform lathe machine operation, inspect finished product and perform lathe machine daily housekeeping. The outcomes of this CU are all lathe machining operation which includes but not limited to cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, facing and turning are conducted in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency unit are trainees enable to produce a finished product with cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, facing and turning using lathe machine operation in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Perform lathe machine daily maintenance. 2. Interpret production technical drawing. 3. Prepare lathe machine cutting tools and tool holder. 4. Set up lathe machine workpiece. 5. Perform lathe machine operation. 6. Inspect finished product. 7. Perform lathe machine daily housekeeping. |
