| Penerangan CU | Milling Machine Operation describes the activity process of operating a conventional milling machine. Milling machine is machine tool that involves machining using rotary cutters to remove unwanted material by advancing a cutter into a workpiece. This operation involves activity of moving the workpiece at various direction on one or several axes, cutter speed head and pressure. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to perform milling machine daily maintenance, interpret production technical drawing, prepare milling machine cutting tools and accessories, set up milling machine workpiece, perform milling machine operation, inspect finished product and perform milling machine daily housekeeping. The outcomes of this CU are all milling machining operation which includes but not limited to drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, boring, milling, slotting and pocketing are conducted in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency unit are trainees enable to produce a finished product with drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, boring, milling, slotting and pocketing using milling machine operation in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Perform milling machine daily maintenance. 2. Interpret production technical drawing. 3. Prepare milling machine cutting tools and accessories. 4. Set up milling machine workpiece. 5. Perform milling machine operation. 6. Inspect finished product. 7. Perform milling machine daily housekeeping. |
