| Penerangan CU | Grinding Machine Operation describes the activity process of operating a conventional grinding machine. The grinding machine typically consists of a bed with a fixture to guide and hold the workpiece, and a power-driven grinding wheel (abrasive wheel) spinning at the required speed. The grinding operation process involves moving the grinding head across a fixed workpiece or the workpiece can be moved while the grind head stays in a fixed position. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to perform grinding machine daily maintenance, interpret production technical drawing, prepare grinding machine grinding wheel and accessories, set up grinding machine workpiece, perform grinding machine operation, inspect finished product and perform grinding machine daily housekeeping. The outcomes of this CU are all grinding machining operation which includes but not limited to external and surface grinding are performed in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency unit are trainees enable to produce a finished product with external and surface grinding using grinding machine operation in accordance with finished product part drawing requirements and specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Perform grinding machine daily maintenance. 2. Interpret production technical drawing. 3. Prepare grinding machine grinding wheel and accessories. 4. Set up grinding machine workpiece. 5. Perform grinding machine operation. 6. Inspect finished product. 7.
