| Penerangan CU | Coal-Fired Power Plant Start-up and Shutdown Operation describes the competency in starting up of plant till Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR) and shutting down of plant for plant scheduled overhaul/ unscheduled plant outage. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to start-up BOP operation, start-up boiler operation, start-up steam turbine auxiliary system, run-up steam turbine and synchronize generator, operate load rising to 100% MCR, operate unit shutdown and conduct overhaul commissioning and testing. The outcome of this CU is coal-fired power plant started till 100% MCR or shutdown successfully, with safe and efficient operation. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The outcome of this CU is coal-fired power plant started till 100% Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR) or shutdown successfully, with safe and efficient operation. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Start-up Balance of Plant (BOP) operation. 2. Start-up boiler operation. 3. Start-up steam turbine auxiliary system. 4. Run-up steam turbine and synchronize generator. 5. Operate load rising to 100% Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR). 6. Operate unit shutdown. 7. Conduct overhaul commissioning and testing. |
