| Penerangan CU | Brick Arch Construction describes a curved structural form that carries loads around an opening, transferring them around the profile of the arch to abutments, jambs or piers on either side. The difference between arch and lintel/beam is that arch is an inverted u shape while lintel/beam is a horizontal structural beam spanning an opening, such as between the uprights of a door or a window, and which supports the wall above. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to carry out work area setting out, carry out centering/arch formwork installation, carry out brick work mortar preparation, carry out brick arch construction and perform work area housekeeping. The outcome of this CU is brick arch constructed where the laying method, shape, horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, radius and joint specification are according to drawing and work specification. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to construct brick arch where the laying method, shape, horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, radius and joint specification are according to drawing and work specification. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Carry out work area setting out. 2. Carry out centering/arch formwork installation. 3.
