| Penerangan CU | C241-004-2:2020:C02 Steel Coil Pickling Process Handling describes the competency in removing surface oxide (mill scale) from hot rolled coil and applying anti-rust oil on strip surface for pickled and oiled coil. A clean surface is essential to the cold rolling and subsequent processes to achieve the desired qualities of the surface. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare hot rolled coil pickling process requirements, carry out pickling Entry Process, carry out hot rolled coil Entry Preparation, carry out hot rolled coil pickling process, carry out pickling Exit Process and perform offline pickling machine servicing. The outcome of this CU is oxide (mill scale) from hot rolled coil removed and coil surface protected with anti-rust oil for pickled and oiled coil according to production requirement. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to remove oxide (mill scale) from hot rolled coil prior subsequent processes as per cold rolling production requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Prepare hot rolled coil pickling process requirements. 2. Carry out pickling Entry Process. 3. Carry out hot rolled coil Entry Preparation. 4. Carry out hot rolled coil pickling process. 5. Carry out pickling Exit Process. 6. Perform offline pickling machine servicing. |
