Penerangan CUPerform pharmaceutical engineering essential facilities and systems maintenance describes the process of consistent and routine upkeep/ preservation and defects rectifications of pharmaceutical manufacturing plant facilities and systems maintenance activities. These facilities and systems include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, cross contamination prevention, Environmental Monitoring (EM), and compressed air system. These maintenance activities include routine upkeep (Preventive Maintenance) as well as repair work (Corrective Maintenance).

The person who is competent in this CU should be able to service heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system maintenance, carry out work area cross contamination prevention, carry out work area environmental monitoring (EM) system, implement test and measurement equipment verification and service work area compressed air system.

The outcome of this CU is pharmaceutical manufacturing plant heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) is in good working condition with high reliability rate.

Objektif PembelajaranThe learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to carry out consistent and routine upkeep/ preservation and defects rectifications of pharmaceutical manufacturing plant facilities and systems maintenance activities.

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to:
1. Service heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
2. Carry out cross contamination prevention maintenance.
3. Maintain environmental monitoring (EM) system.
