| Penerangan CU | Perform Laboratory Equipment Maintenance describes the regular and systematic activities aimed at ensuring the proper functioning, accuracy, and reliability of laboratory instruments and tools. This process includes routine inspections, calibration, cleaning, lubrication, and repairs as needed to prevent equipment deterioration and maintain optimal performance according to organisation Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The person who is competent in this CU should be able to develop laboratory maintenance and calibration SOP, coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance and coordinate laboratory equipment calibration. The outcome of this CU is laboratory equipment performance is at optimum level, lifespan of equipment extended, downtime minimised, the risk of errors reduced, and quality and consistency of experimental results upheld in various scientific and industrial settings in compliance with organisation SOP and regulatory bodies requirements. |
