| Penerangan CU | Cargo Handling Operation is the work process of loading, unloading, storing and handling of cargoes at the port in meeting the operational needs while ensuring its secured and safe conditions. This competency unit is offered as an elective so as to expose and further enhance personnel skills in cargo handling operations which form the main role of a port organisation. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to assess cargo operation requirements, plan cargo operation, control cargo operation and produce cargo operation documentation. The outcome of this competency is the ability to recognise the complexity in cargo handling operations and its relationship to maintenance function. The awareness and familiarisation gained would generally provide an appreciation to the maintenance function responsibilities in fulfilling the operations needs that meets customers demand. |
