| Penerangan CU | VSS/EOD/DOD is an electronic appliance that enables embedded image capture capabilities that allows video images or extracted information to be compressed, stored or transmitted over communication networks or digital data link. It used for any types of monitoring . Principally, VSS consists of Cameras or Thermal Imager Camera or Infrared Camera or Night Vision Camera Unit, Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Unit, Monitor Unit, KVM Switches Unit, Joystick Controller Unit, Mouse, Keyboard, DSL Modem and Router. EOD/DOD consists of EOD/DOD Receiver Unit, Display Unit, Power Supply Unit, Motion Control Unit and 360° Situational Awareness Sensor Unit. VSS/EOD/DOD installation is fixing or semi-fixing of a complete VSS/EOD/ DOD module or a self-contained VSS/ EOD/DOD Unit, with its accompanying assemblies, accessories and parts. VSS/EOD/DOD installation also includes provision of or connection to services (such as power) or other associated equipment required to make the installed VSS/EOD/DOD ready for operations . VSS/EOD/DOD can be installed either on Static Platforms (Land-based and Off-shore) and Mobile Platforms. Preventive Maintenance is designed to preserve and restore VSS/EOD/DOD reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail. Preventive Maintenance activities include care and servicing for the purpose of maintaining VSS/EOD/DOD Units as well as their associated equipment in satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic check, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. Preventive Maintenance include tests, measurements, adjustments, and parts replacement, performed specifically to prevent faults from occurring, partial or complete overhauls, oil changes, lubrication and so on at specified periods. In addition, persons can record equipment deterioration so they know to replace or repair worn parts before they cause system failure . Persons who are competent in this CU shall be able to install a complete VSS /EOD/DOD as well as their associated equipment. He or She shall also be able to carry out Preventive Maintenance on VSS/EOD/DOD Units as well as their associated equipment in accordance with Regulatory Bodies’ recommendations, OEM’s/Client’s requirements and Contractor’s SOP. The outcomes of this CU is persons that shall be able to provide excellent and quality installation and Preventive Maintenance of VSS/EOD/DOD as well as their other associated equipment to ensure client’s satisfaction guaranteed and prompt actions are taken in accordance with Regulatory Bodies’ recommendations, OEM’s/Client’s requirements and Contractor’s SOP. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | Persons who are competent in this CU shall be able to install fixed or mobile VSS/EOD/DOD as well as their associated equipment. He or She shall also be able to carry out preventive maintenance on VSS/EOD/DOD Units as well as their associated equipment. Upon completion of this CU, trainees will be able to:- · Set up fixed/mobile VSS/EOD/DOD installation. · Install fixed/mobile VSS/EOD/DOD Cables. · Install fixed/mobile VSS/EOD/DOD Power Supply Switches, Breakers and Outlets. · Install fixed/mobile VSS/EOD/DOD Units Cabinets/Racks/Brackets. · Install fixed/mobile VSS Units. · Install fixed/mobile EOD/DOD Units. · Perform fixed/mobile VSS Units preventive maintenance. · Perform fixed/mobile EOD/DOD Units preventive maintenance. |
