| Penerangan CU | This competency unit describes the skills, knowledge and attitude requirements in waterproofing surface preparation. This process is to prepare construction surfaces to receive waterproofing materials for absolute bonding. Failure to achieve this will render reoccurrence of leakages. Consequently, causing waste of materials, labour and time. The person who is competent in waterproofing surface preparation shall be able to set out, clean, treat and check waterproofing surface preparation works in accordance with manufacturer requirements. The outcome of this CU will render the construction surface ready to receive waterproof layer in accordance with British Standard (BS) or equivalent. |
