| Penerangan CU | The CU title describes the competency in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) procedure development. He or she is responsible in developing MT procedure based on contract requirements, by identifying component, types of material, area of interest to be inspected, determining equipment and material parameters, level of qualification, identifying acceptance and rejection criteria, verifying and approving MT procedures. The personnel who are competent in this CU shall be able to, evaluate contract requirements, prepare MT procedures using Yoke, Prod, Head Shot, Coil and Central Conductor techniques with magnetic particle medium of dry powder, wet visible / fluorescence particle. The outcome of this competency is the MT procedure of various techniques developed as per code, standard and specification requirements. |

Upon completion of this competency unit trainees will be able to: • Assess MT technical contract requirements • Prepare MT procedure using Yoke technique • Prepare MT procedure using Prod technique • Prepare MT procedure using Headshot technique • Prepare MT procedure using Coil Type technique • Prepare MT procedure using Central Conductor technique |
