| Penerangan CU | The ship’s hull suffers prolonged exposure to water and other environmental factors. Therefore, it’s important to use the best materials and techniques when painting the hull. A properly painted hull resists cracking and peeling or bunching of the surface. Since, a ship is the largest moving structure as compared to any other construction of transportation vehicles, therefore painting work requires a well-planned engineering activity. The person who is competent in this CU shall be to plan ship hull painting work schedule, inspect surface profile preparation, conduct environmental and surface preparation inspection, coordinate painting work and produce ship hull painting report. The outcome of this competency is ensure the hull painting work is efficiently coordinated according to standards and procedures, which in particular, OSHA, the Classification Society and the environmental requirements |
