| Penerangan CU | Pre-casting materials preparation is competency of all preparatory jobs prior to the casting process, which covers tools, equipment, materials and all other related materials preparation activities. It is executed in accordance with the standards set by the organizations and or customers (Normally JIS, BS, AFS, MS303, MS505, and ASTMD7765 standard used). The pre-casting materials preparation works need to be carried out properly because it affected the foundry processes and the quality of the final product. The person who is competent in pre-casting materials preparation will be able to perform casting Ingredient preparation, perform sand mixing operation, perform incoming material inspection, perform sand mixing materials sampling test in accordance with organization and or customer requirements. An effective pre-casting materials preparation operator should be able to inspect incoming materials using appropriate tools and equipment, materials mechanical & chemical properties confirmed, material weighted accurately, certificate of approval compiled and incoming materials inspection recorded, casting ingredient prepared with the right raw material usage ratio and quantity, and sand mixing performed in complying with the specified formula, sand are dried, moisture content and size confirmed, mixed sand correctly packaged, tagged and recorded The outcome of this CU is to meet occupational skills standard which incorporate the skills, knowledge and attitude to be delivered systematically. |
