| Penerangan CU | Heat treatment operation is a competency unit for a process whereby casting material were treated in a controlled temperature in a heat chambers or area which at the end of the process has changes the material properties to a desired characteristic in accordance with customers and or organizations requirements. International standard such as JIS, ASTM or British Standard normally used for processes and product quality. The operation need to be carried out correctly as only quality products can be sustained in the market. Personnel who are competent in Heat treatment operation will be able to Perform Heat treatment Furnace Preparation Process, Perform Product Batching preparations, Perform Heat treatment process and Perform Heat treatment product inspection. Experience and skill in understand the material characteristic changes against temperature and can be an added skill for metallurgist laboratory assistant. The outcome of this CU is to meet occupational skills standard which incorporate the skills, knowledge and attitude to be delivered systematically. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare heat treatment furnace and heating process to reach the required heating chambers temperature, at the specified conveyor speed, with all other specified related setting, product batching tag with accurate identification number and sequence, following the prescribed procedure and fulfilled specified standard, inspected , evaluated and precisely reported in accordance with organizational requirements.
