| Penerangan CU | The Competency Unit (CU) of Helicopter turbine maintenance is developed based on Air Transport Association (ATA) System Chapter 100. The relevant chapters under ATA 100 are the following: - Chapter 62 (main rotor) - Chapter 63 (main rotor drive) - Chapter 64 (tail rotor) - Chapter 65 (tail rotor drive) - Chapter 66 (rotor blade & tail pylon folding) Helicopter turbine maintenance is to maintain aircraft turbine system (with limited release approval) in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies such as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). The personnel who are competent in helicopter turbine maintenance shall be able to identify, inspect, replace, and test, record and certify turbine systems to meet continuous airworthiness standards. The outcome of this competency is to develop competent manpower in accordance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and job description. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | Helicopter turbine maintenance is to maintain helicopter turbine system (with limited release approval) in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies such as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). The personnel who are competent in helicopter turbine maintenance shall be able to:- • Identify basic requirement on aircraft maintenance • Identify helicopter turbine components • Inspect helicopter turbine component • Replace helicopter turbine component • Test helicopter turbine component |
