Course Description:
This course is designed to provide participants with advanced skills and knowledge in video/film editing at Level 3. Participants will learn core competencies related to visual editing project analysis, visual editing preparation, offline visual editing, audio sweetening, online visual editing, and shooting composition. The course will focus on practical training and theoretical knowledge to ensure participants are well-equipped to edit videos and films professionally.

Course Modules:

1. Visual Editing Project Analysis:
- Understanding the requirements and objectives of a visual editing project
- Analyzing raw footage to identify key elements and storytelling opportunities
- Developing a creative approach and editing plan for the project

2. Visual Editing Preparation:
- Organizing and preparing raw footage for editing
- Logging and labeling footage for easy retrieval and referencing
- Creating a timeline and storyboard to guide the editing process

3. Offline Visual Editing:
- Using video editing software to assemble footage into a coherent sequence
- Applying editing techniques such as cuts, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling
- Refining the edit to achieve the desired pace, rhythm, and impact

4. Audio Sweetening:
- Enhancing audio quality by adjusting levels, adding effects, and removing noise
- Syncing audio with video and ensuring audio continuity throughout the edit
- Creating a balanced audio mix that complements the visual elements of the project

5. Online Visual Editing:
- Fine-tuning the edit for visual consistency and continuity
- Color grading and correcting to enhance the overall look and feel of the project
- Adding visual effects and graphics to enhance storytelling and visual appeal

6. Shooting Composition:
- Understanding the principles of shooting composition for video/film
- Analyzing shot composition in raw footage and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Providing feedback and guidance to camera operators for future shoots
