| Penerangan CU | The Internet Protocol IPv4/v6 Network Troubleshooting competency unit describes the competency required when troubleshooting Internet Protocol IPv4/v6 networks. He or She is the person to carry out Internet Protocol IPv4/v6 network troubleshooting on IPv4/v6 network devices and network services. The person who is competent in IPv4/v6 network troubleshooting shall be able carry out network connectivity troubleshooting, configure network analyzer interface traffic capture, carry out IPv4 network traffic capture, carry out IPv6 network traffic capture, troubleshoot network faults and prepare network troubleshooting report. The outcome of this competency is to produce skilled workforce which is able to troubleshoot IPv4/v6 networks according to network infrastructure, organisational requirements and standard operating procedures. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this IPv4/6 network troubleshooting shall be able to effectively capture and monitor both IPv4 and IPv6 network traffic and use a range of tools to troubleshoot, document and resolve network faults in a methodical and structured manner. It builds confidence, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills in a multivendor environment. To do this it is essential that equipment such as servers, switches, routers, etc. come from a variety of manufacturers and each individual has an allocation of time with each. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Troubleshoot network connectivity • Configure network analyzer interface traffic capture • Capture IPv4 network traffic • Capture IPv6 network traffic • Troubleshoot network faults |
