| Penerangan CU | Water Quality Laboratory Microbiological Testing describes the competency to determine microbiological content of water sample. The most common and widespread health risk associated with drinking water is contamination wither directly or indirectly, by human or animal. The pathogenic agents involved include bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, which may cause diseases that vary in severity from mild gastroenteritis to severe and sometimes fatal diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis, or typhoid fever. A competent person in water quality laboratory microbiological testing shall be able to prepare water sample, perform total coliform test and E.coli test. The outcome of this competency is to record actual total coliform and E-coli colony from water sample in accordance with microbiological testing SOP. |
