| Penerangan CU | In-flight safety, security and medical emergencies coordination is an activity of how flight attendants coordinate all matters related to safety, security and medical emergencies before, during and after flight. The activities involve coordination between a Purser with flight crew, flight attendant, maintenance engineer and ground staff. Equipment such as PA system and intercom are used to perform tasks. Coverage of this course is in line with International Air Transport Association (IATA) and major airlines standards and practice. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to coordinate emergency & safety equipment serviceability, coordinate emergency communication, coordinate aircraft door operation, coordinate in-flight security checks, coordinate special handling passenger’s assistance and coordinate first-aid and medical emergencies assistance. The outcome of this competency is to ensure all emergency & safety equipment is serviceable, communication between Purser with flight crew, cabin crew, maintenance engineer and ground staff are established, aircraft doors are operated in accordance to SEP manual. |

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees shall be able to: - 1. Coordinate emergency & safety equipment function. 2. Conduct mandatory pre flight safety briefing. 3. Coordinate aircraft door operation. 4. Coordinate in-flight security checks. 5. Coordinate first-aid and medical emergencies assistance. |
