It means playing unfamiliar music at the correct speed and is a skill that is distinct from the mere ability to figure out the notes in order to learn a new composition. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify teaching and learning requirements, teach sight reading and conduct students’ performance assessment. The outcome of this competency is the ability to train sight reading effectively so that the students are competent in reading any note on music scores. |
