| Penerangan CU | Pre-production samples are samples that are made by the production department with actual fabric, trims and accessories. Pre-production samples must be approved by buyer before proceeding to bulk production. The assistant merchandising personnel is responsible for coordinating and tracking the making of the pre-production sample until buyer’s approval is obtained. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to determine pre-production sample making coordination activities and timeline, follow up on final paper pattern making and bulk material supply and delivery status, coordinate fabric cutting and embellishment making, follow up on sample sewing, arrange pre-production sample submission to buyer for approval and coordinate pre-production changes based on buyer’s comments. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the apparel pre-production sample is developed according to schedule and buyer’s requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to coordinate apparel pre-production sample making. The outcome of this competency is to ensure apparel pre-production sample is made according to schedule and buyer’s requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- Determine apparel pre-production sample making coordination activities and timeline Follow up on paper pattern making with paper pattern department Follow up on apparel materials supply and delivery status Coordinate fabric and cut piece cutting Coordinate embellishment making Follow up on apparel pre-production sample sewing status Arrange apparel pre-production sample submission to buyer for feedback Coordinate apparel pre-production sample changes based on buyer’s feedback |
